HELM Supplies can only cover and accept claims for items purchased from www.HELMsupplies.com.
We are a privately owned company dedicated to positivity, the ocean, and creating our own journey with like-minded individuals.  We strive to create quality products that we believe in to share and spread the stoke. 


SURFBOARD POLICY
***HELM Surfboards are not eligible for return, all sales are final. 
Material defects and flaws in construction are covered within 7 days of receipt. 
Upon delivery, if there is any damage to the outer packaging please email us detailed pictures of the damaged area. 
Surfboard must be unused and returned packed back up with all original packaging provided.  If any original packaging is missing this may cause further damage to the board which may disqualify the return. 
We have the right to deny credit or exchange if the return does not meet our policy requirements.

  • We do not cover damage due to improper use, care and negligence, normal wear and tear from aging, and everything mentioned above regarding delamination, dings, cracks, and broken boards. 

  • Once a surfboard is used, it will not fall under warranty due to the unpredictable variables associated with the act of surfing. 

  • The surfboards are CNC machine cut to start, from that point on everything else is hand finished: [Shape finishing, lamination/glassing, EVA wrap and sanding]. Our team of professionals takes the finest care in our production and quality, and as each board is an individually built and hand-finished product there may be small sanding scratches or tool marks on the surface, as well as the weave of the fiberglass cloth, etc.  These are characteristics of almost any surfboard and are not structural blemishes that will affect the performance or durability of the board and are not eligible for warranty.

APPAREL & ACCESSORIES POLICY
HELM Apparel & Accessories are not eligible for return (5% restocking fee), all sales are final.  
Material defects and flaws in construction are covered within 14 days of receipt.

FINAL SALE ITEMS
All Discounted/Sale Items and items purchased using a discount code are considered FINAL SALE and are not eligible for return, refund or exchange.  (Including all Holiday sales such as Black Friday, etc)

WARRANTY POLICY
All warranty claims must be submitted to HELM Supplies at info@helmsupplies.com, within the stated dates above, with full details, photos, etc. of the issue(s) in question, along with a copy of the original proof of purchase.  All products must be in new condition with all original packaging, tags, labels, etc.  We will not accept any used items.  If a claim is approved, we will either replace or cover the repair costs of the warrantied item, in a timely manner.  
Any unauthorized repairs related to the issue(s), prior to the claim being approved, will void the warranty.
This policy is limited to only repairing or replacing a surfboard based on an approved warranty claim and does not include any costs related to any other damages, consequential or incidental, or to person or property.

SHIPPING ISSUES (MIS-SHIPS, DAMAGES)
Upon receiving your order please inspect it and contact us immediately if any item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and correct it.  If you discover damage upon opening your surfboard, please email the details along with pictures of the visible damage on the board itself and also any damage to the exterior packaging within 2 days of receiving your surfboard.  We will respond within 7 days advising you of the appropriate action to take.  DO NOT return items without receiving instructions or your warranty may be voided.  HELM Supplies must approve the mis-ship or damage claim before any action can be taken.  

SURFBOARD CARE
Our hybrid construction adds many benefits, wax-free traction keeps your board clean, adds durability to dings/cracks, protection to the rider (& others) from impact, while still performing as well as any surfboard in the market, if not better. Although they are durable, please remember the core is constructed as a glassed board and will break like a normal board.  If you treat the boards with care, the boards will have better longevity and provide you with more waves and stoke.
***Below are some tips for care.

  • They will ding and break upon impact, handle with care in and out of the water.
  • Prone to UV deterioration so keep out of direct sunlight when unattended or storing.
  • Store in a cool/dry place, can delaminate and bubble if left in high temperatures like a hot car or left baking in the sun.
  • Use a board bag with padding for transportation and when storing to avoid unexpected impact and dings.
  • Rinse with fresh water after each use, salt water is corrosive.  

Lastly, we want you to push your limits but also know your limits.  If you do not know how to handle your board in big surf, you are not only putting yourself in danger but others as well.  Unmanaged boards are prone to buckle/break in heavier surf.  Learn to handle your board and yourself until you are fully confident in a certain wave range, and then take the next step.

SURFBOARD REPAIR
For any dings or punctures through the board that exposes foam or allows water to penetrate through the glassing, use sandpaper and epoxy surfboard resin to ensure the ding is sealed from water, adheres to the board, and is sanded for a smooth finish. Consult your local ding repair shop.
