Today we have Marcelo Gutierrez, a talented surfer who has been riding the waves along Venice Breakwater for decades.   Not a coincidence that he just won 1st place at VSA Southside Classic on April 30th, 2023, congrats!!  Continue reading to see insight into his quiver and surfing history.

Q. How long have you been surfing?

I've been surfing since I was 12 now, I'm 46!

Q. How many surfboards do you own?

6 boards.

Q. Tell us about your current favorite board?

I'm a thruster guy but sometimes I surf twins fins.

Q. Why do you surf? What does surfing mean to you?

Surf is my passion. I started surfing when I was 12 and couldn't stop !!!

Q. Tell us about your other endeavors.

I'm the proud owner of The Empanada Factory since 2003 and I will run my business until retirement. I think haha
