PATHFINDER fins: Tyler Warren Modern Keel by @true_ames

Designed by Tyler Warren and crafted by True Ames, these fins are made from marine plywood for positive buoyancy and feature an 80/20 foil. This design combines the responsiveness of a single foil with the added control of a double foil, resulting in a well-balanced fin that generates speed, provides effortless drive, and allows for smooth rail-to-rail transitions.

Compared to a classic keel, the narrower tip makes it easier to break the line and pivot quickly, while the extended rake provides just the right amount of hold to push through turns with confidence.

Working in harmony with the board’s outline, rails, rocker, and bottom contours, these fins serve as the perfect complement, seamlessly tying together all the design elements of the board.
