Respect to all the contestants - and big congrats to Jiro on back-to-back 1st place wins at the 2025 Malibu Classic & Ventura's C-Street Classic contests!

Respect to all the contestants 💯 — and a huge congratulations to Jiro for taking back-to-back 1st place wins at two of California’s most iconic longboard surf contests: the 2025 Malibu Classic and the C-Street Classic. 🏆

Taking home first place at both contests in the same season is an incredible accomplishment. As friends, we’re stoked to see Jiro competing at this level. He’s out in the water almost every day, putting in years of effort, and it’s awesome to see him getting the recognition he deserves in our local surf community.

The Malibu Classic: A Longboarding Landmark

Hosted by the Malibu Surfing Association, the Malibu Classic is one of the most respected longboard surf contests in the world. Taking place at First Point, Malibu, it celebrates the heritage of California longboarding at one of the most famous point breaks on the planet. Winning here isn’t just about scores — it’s about joining a tradition that stretches back decades. @malibusurfingassociation

The C-Street Classic: Ventura’s Surf Showcase

Just up the coast, the C-Street Classic brings the surf community together at Ventura’s iconic C-Street break. Known for its long rides, friendly atmosphere, and competitive field, the contest showcases both emerging talent and established longboarders. Securing the top spot here highlights not just skill, but consistency and flow in a lineup full of heavy competition.  @cstreetclassic

While Jiro’s wins are a huge highlight, it’s important to recognize all the surfers who came out to compete at both the Malibu Classic and the C-Street Classic. These contests are more than just results - they’re about community, tradition, and the shared love of longboarding.
